Hello!!

Does anyone know the best place to get complete rear assemblies for a 1971 C3 without breaking the bank?  I'm beginning a complete restoration and the assemblies were completely rusted thru and were thrown out (not by me, by my brother...I would have kept them for the core exchange at a very minimum...)

Please PM me!

Thanx much!!!

There are a lot of good vendors out there.  Corvette Specialties, VB and P. VanSteel, Bairs.  Price is a factor but so is service.  I would suggest a complete t/a assembly with the e-brakes installed instead of a bare bones arm.

Corvettes and women are the same...You want to make love to them but they keep breaking down.

Try Jim Stevens from Stevens Corvette parts. He's out of Wisconsin, but his workmanship and quality and good prices make up for a little extra shipping. He sells his trailing arms through Ebay under Tyler's Parts (I think Tyler is his son). Jim is a heck of a nice guy and he gave me a tremendous deal on some arms and a rear end rebuild a few years back. He warranties his arms for a lifetime and his claim to fame is never having one of his bearing set ups go bad!!

A number of folks on the site have given him their business and never a complaint!!

You can reach him at 608-365-0911. Tell him Paul from NJ sent you!!Wink (maybe he'll jack up the prices!!)
