Vette(s): (2) 1969 Corvettes, Coupe and Convertible.
Just found a 69 coupe that was stored for 22yrs. She was hiding in a garage under a pile of clothes. Have rebuilt the front end, replaced radiator, serviced all fluids, belts & hoses. While inspecting the rear both wheels are leaning in from the top and show movement on the rearend yoke at the inside half-shafts. It looks like the strut rods were bent to try to correct the problem and they added extra rubber bushings to the drivers-side spring bolt. (leans to the drivers side)
I plan on replacing both yokes and use the updated adjustable strut rods, Should the rear bearings be checked? Is there an easy way to check them?

After sitting that long, by all means check the bearings. At least do a good repack and replace the seals. If you run into problems, it just means that you saved a problem in the future. Better now than on the road.

The rear end in wy 78 got so sloppy I was afraid to drive
it any more. When I took apart the rear end the stub axle on the right had broken at the snap ring groove!
There was lots of junk floating around and I got a rebuilt differential new stub axles, etc. Not cheap-be ready for anything.

PS
While you have the rear end out ,replace the rear end cover with a heavy duty cover ($100) the stock covers are prone to cracking (break).
