Hi guys, I'm new here.

I just got my 76 finished to the point that I can drive it, I want to put on 18" wheels to it.

I was thinking of getting Cragar Forged 18x8.5 or 18x9 wheels, but I don't know the backspacing.

I don't have offset arms and have done nothing to the suspension except GT coils in front in order to lower the front end about 2".

The rims are listed here: http://www.cragar.com/wheels_cfw2.html

I will put on 245/35x18 or 265/35x18 tires on them.

Can you guys help me??|headscratch|

My car is at http://www.lovecars.com/corvettecorner/erniesvettes.htm

I also belong to the VetteNet.

Thanks

Hello Hernest !
Welcome to the C3VR Forum it is nice to have new members that could share are passion and knowledge.
Ok for you question about putting 18" mag not sure of the space you have inside the fenders also you will likely put low profil tire on the new mag that will be very hard to the suspension and the confort ?????.
Go to www.s-series.org/html/calc/calcs.html
that could help you in your project.
have a nice day.

Hi there, you can use both size you mentioned. Put 18x8.5 in front and 18x9 rear. go for 4.5" backspacing for fronts and rears. You might have to relocate your parking brake cable, which is very easy thing to do.
I'm running 20x8 with 4"BS in front and 20x10" rear with 5.25" BS
