I just put a set of torq-thrustII wheels with 245/45/17 tires. after doing a lot of reading I was sure it was what I wanted. After putting them on, I'm not so happy. I have way to much wheelwell showing. I would be interested to know if anyone with this combo could post a picture so I can compare it to mine. I know I can lower the back end easy enough but I'm not crazy about replaceing the front springs. what-to-do what-to-do

Your problem is that you went from a 225/70/15 tire with a radius of 27.4in to a 245/45/17 with a radius of 25.68in so you lost almost 2in. You could lower the car or see if you can trade back the tires for something bigger like a 255/50/17 which has a radius of 27in.

That smaller dia. tire will make your speedometer read too fast, allow faster acelleration, cut your top speed and fuel mileage.

The 17 inch (17") setup looks pretty sweet!
It'll be interesting to see pics of the 17 foot (17') setup...!!!

they look sweet, but like you said, there is too much wheel well, the only way i can see to fix this right is to get different tires. Lowering could work though, depending on how much ground clearance you need under there, and whether you have headers and what not. Where did you get those wheels and how much if you don't mind me asking??

how long had the car been sitting off the jacks, it looks to me like the whole car is higher than normal, which happens right after it has been jacked up, why don't you go drive it and take another look, i think it will make quite a difference.
