I have an LT1 hood painted and installed. It even fits and stays latched. The two chrome inserts don't fit. Is the there more than one part number? We are not talking rocket science here but they seem to wide.

What year is your car and what year is the hood? any idea?
There were some changes in the hood latches over the years and someone may have changed them on the car or that hood sometime with the wrong ones..
