When I was fixing my hinge pins on drivers door I found all these wires taped off and this connector laying inside the door. Does anyone know what all these wires go to? The power window wires were connected to the motor properly so it wasn't those. My car doesn't have power door locks so unless they came as an option in 79" I don't know what these wires go to. any help would be appreciated.

Pic is too small for my feeble eyeholes to see clearly, but it MAY be that someone swapped the window motor, and the new motor had a different connector, so a new connector was spliced in...
Or it could be speaker wires....

I agree with Adam, the only other possibility would be if your car came with the electric sport mirrors

I have been doing more investigating and I think some of the wires went to an anti-theft door lock system that was taken out at one point. Also as an option in 79' you could get power door locks. I'm guessing they ran the wires in the door for the option even if you didn't order the locks themselves. I'll clean up the wires and seal them better and move on.

Thanks for help

You nailed it!! Definitely the anti-theft. They've been known to be battery draining gremlins because to the complexity of the components that all need to be clean, good wire condition, etc.

Honestly, one of the first things I eliminated...
