With the possible bad weather this weekend (naturally) I decided to get new wiper blades for the '69. Problem is the wiper motor won't run. The last time I checked it was about 2 months ago and all was well.
What I have is....12v to the switch. The door opens and I can hear the relay pick for the motor but no movement. Will the wipers run without the engine running? I'm desperate!!!! This would be tough to leave home on Wednesday with a rain chance and no wipers.

And if that won't do it, check the ground on the motor. They tend to corrode and lose contact.

I gave up. Just finished putting it all back together. This motor is just bad. I applied 12v to the motor direct from the battery and it just won't run. The winding may be opening up under load. On top of that this ain't even the right motor assm. Some idiot stuck a post '75 motor in it, no vac lines for the headlight washers and it was painted blue. I will deal with this if and when we get back from C3X over the winter. I am just really P.O.'ed right now. I've got a couple beers with my name on them in the fridge. See some of you tommorow night, I hope.
