wiper prob.,,,HELP

my wipers just quit, the motor and the rest of the unit is fine. my problem is in the wires. im getting juice where there is not suposed to be any. does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1977 L-82,,please.

Hi,

The wiper system, even with the diagram, is confusing. Since your wipers were working, I would suggest that either the relay or the switch is suspect. I am assuming that you had the motor checked already. Also, if you had any work done under the hood since the last time the wipers worked, check for a proper ground at the motor.I had this problem on my 73 and it turned out to be the ground that goes to the engine block.

Thanks guys for all your help. Here is the update.
I got the wipers working by making a new ground wire, the old went hot for some reason,( a short) i think its in the factory alarm. because it shortedout and the ground on the wipers went hot. If any one has a wiring diagram for the 77 vette iwould be very thankful.

I have the same problem . I just re-installed my engine and must of pinched a wire some place. The ground is hot and I can hear a clicking noise when I turn on the wipers. This also effects my blower motor for my heater.(the ground is also hot)So my question is how and wher did you run the new ground. Also can you send me those wireing diagrams. thanks..
