My wipers quit working, troubleshot down to the motor being bad. No problem, pulled the motor and went to vendors and found a price of $175.00 !!! Called Napa, in stock $67.00. I am sure all are rebuilt by the same re builder, how can they justify that price? Just because it's for a Corvette? Sorry for the vent, I would like to patronize our vendors but refuse to pay more than double the price for the same part!

Actually, they are rebuilt by several different places, depending on your location.
Most of the larger Corvette vendors prolly use the same reman companies, but places like NAPA, Pep-Girls, etc, don't use them...they have their own sources. They also sell more of them(think volume), so their price is lower to start with.
Another thing is, parts from a Corvette vendor might also be a little better quality, both in performance, and cosmetically...just an observation.
If you(or anyone, for that matter) are not trying to keep your car as stock/factory as possible, then the NAPA motor will function, and fit(theoretically) just fine, so there's really no need for the high $$$ repro parts.

Sounds logical to me. I've returned starters, alternators and such several times (per puchase) to Napa, before getting one that's satisfactory. I still shop there, I just try to be careful what I buy
. Someone needs to check into quality control
