Hey my 70 vette does not have the windshield wiper doors or grill it has a 73 hood on it. This guy is selling the complete Assembly for 450.00 is this a good deal and what pieces should I make sure are there.Confused

You'll need to check your own car against an AIM to see what is still left after the 73 hood was put on.  My first thought would be bushes and connecting pins.  Make sure the soleniod behind the tach was not removed also.  A new hose kit would be a must.

Oh!  Don't forget to buy a new hood as well.

My wiper door won't go down, but if I push it down comes up when I start the car. Any help on this?

You need to check the vacuum relay for the wiper door.  When vacuum is applied, the diaphram inside the relay should be pulled up allowing vacuum to be applied to the actuator to keep the door closed.  Turn on the wipers and the vacuum is interupted from the relay (top little hose) the piston in the relay drops and allows vacuum to pull on the actuator diaphram to open the door. Turn off the wipers and vacuum should be returned to the relay and the door should close.  Sometimes on start up when vacuum to the relay is still low, the door will open briefly and then close again.  If yours is staying open there could be a problem with the relay and there could also be a problem with the arms.

What he said......  Your soleniod behind the tacho could be stuck also.
