Recently was under the car to change out the oil pan and saw daylight through the passenger side #1 body bolt. Told my wife and she is all freaked out that it is not safe, so she wants to know form my 'Corvette Buds' whether or not this is OK. I told her gravity was doing the job for now.
I have tried to find only the #1 bolt and nut and bottom rubber, but so far have not found one.
Is it possible to exchange the upper rubber mount without doing a lot of work?

I think your pretty safe...and I don't think it's that much trouble. Tell your wife we need to know how much she weighs to give an accurate assessment of the problem.
That always makes them mad.

Well now...THAT'S certainly NOT safe!!!!!!!
Don't do that!!!

By #1 mount, I assume you're talking about the mount under the kick panel? While it's true the body is not in any danger of flying off while driving, it could allow enough flex to start a crack in the fender fiberglass. Not saying that it will, but that it is possible.
Installing the bolt/lower cushion/mount shouldn't be too much trouble. It's the upper mount, if it needs removing/replacement that requires body raising...

I already have some cracks in the fender fiberglass on the passenger side; I better get a new bolt fast.

I put a temporary bolt and nut in there. Ordered an new #1 bolt and mount. Will likely replace it in the spring.
Wife feels safe now.
Thanks for all the input
