Have t had this problem for sometime so I thought it was gone but it came back this morning. As I drove in to work this morning, I had (what I assume to be) a seat belt buzzer going off. Since my belt was fastened and since I don't even have the original seats insed, I can't imagine why it's going off, but at this point the why is less important than HOW DO I FIND THE DANG THING SO I CAN RIP IT OUT???!
Thanks
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Follow yer ears!!!
Actually...I think the seat belt buzzer is also the horn relay, found on the driver side kick panel area...kinda just hangin there. So...you can't really disconnect it, unless ya don't need a horn. You can cut, or otherwise disconnect the WIRE going to the buzzer, but the light will still shine.
Does the seatbelt warning light come on in the center gauge stack also?
I can look in the Service manual when I git home....it has a complete section on JUST the seatbelt warning system. My guess is you have a wire behind the seat that is shorting out. Even tho you have changed the seats, and no longer have the sensor switches(or they are not plugged in), there is still the wiring to the seatbelt latch next to the center console, and the wiring for the seat sensors. All of that runs behind the seats, and sometimes the seatbacks will rub on the harness thru the carpeting, and cause ghost problems like this.
In the meantime, you can pull up on the Parking Brake handle a couple of clicks....that disables the warning system buzzer. The buzzer will not work if the P brake is applied.
fyi...the '74(an early '75s) seatbelt warning system is different from any other year Shark, due to the seatbelt/ignition interlock system on them....

Hey Joel was that the right buzzer? I read one year it was tied in with the horn relay then they moved it inside ?

Using my ears, I'm lead not to the driver's side kick panel but to just past the console towards the passenger side
There is no warning light

That's where my seat belt buzzer is on my '75. It's in the part of the wiring harness going to the signal flasher and the right courtesy light on the passenger side of the dash.

Well, the buzzing is back. But this time, it keeps going after the key is out. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop!

Check fuse block, black flat box. Turn key on, you'll feel it vibrate. Unplug!
