Vette(s): 1975 Stingray Convertible

I have a '75 Stingray.  The door hinge bushings are a little off and I am getting those fixed soon.  Because of this, the door pins and housings are worn.  I haven't been able to find the pin and housing to replace them.  Does anyone know where I could find them?

Thanks!  **wave** (the icon is gone  )

John

If you're looking for used parts, I've had good look with these people. Seem to have a lot and are easy to deal with. http://www.corvetteusa.com/

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

The striker bolt for the door? Try Paragon. Part no.6953K. Pair with washers("service replacement")$10    They also list the door latch mechinism but as "vintage(used)originals". p.n. 9718280U RH and 81U LH.(GM part nos)  "call for price"    Mike  mkapp787938410.624849537

Try this for the striker bolts. The latches in the door are probably used only, maybe N.O.S. somewhere. Adams' Apple38410.6678819444

No not the striker bolts.  It is about 1' above the striker bolts.  The door has a wedge (pin) that slides into a sheath (housing) on the body.  These are the part numbers from the Corvette Assembly manual pin -3977875-6.......housing-3977877.

thanks

John

You must have a convertible, no? The conv. was the only ones that had the 'wedgie', unless someone swaped doors! Paragon has these, also, I believe.

Yes!  I didn't think it would be convertible exclusive.

That is what they are.  Whew!!!   PRICEY!!!  $250 for those four little pieces.

Thanks, Adam!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Corvette rebuilding.

Paragon is one of the best for NCRS cars so they can be expensive.
