Hey everyone, one night last week when it started to get cold out my horn came on when I turned my wheel, but went back off after I straightened it out. The next couple of rides I didn't have any trouble. Then last night the thing came on and I had to listen to it all the way home. Lucky for me it was only a mile or so.

I took the horn cap off, and unscrewed the assembly. I looked at it closely, but it looks like new and seems to work correctly, so I put it together and hooked up the battery, and guess what... The thing came on as soon as I turned the wheel again. Anyone got any ideas??

turning the steering wheel maybe causing the connect points to touch by pushing it down , possibly a burr of some kind under the cover? |cheers|

Well I took the wheel off and did some more troubleshooting, even with the horn assembly off (nothing but the wheel left on) the horn still comes on when turned to the left. At this point I'm thinking it's a short some place deeper near the key assembly or something.

I hate to have to do any major stuff to the steering column.
