My horn is starting to go. When looking in the catalogs, they want to know what note it is- but list all four notes for my year car. How do you figure that out...

The horn should be marked. (i.e. H(igh), L(ow), F, A, D, C, p/n 245,246, 032 etc..) I think high note horns are even numbered but not positive. KOPBET2007-11-29 19:35:24

Single horn cars have different tones than dual horn cars, so there's three different "note" horns right there.
What year car is this?

Have a piano? LOL

The A note is high, F note is lower but only a couple of notes apart on the scale (C, D, E, F, G, A, B).

According to the parts catalog, the "A" note appeared on the 55-70, 76-79, and 81-82 cars.  And the "C" note appeared on the 76-80 and 81-82 cars. The two remaining possibilities would then be "D" (low-#1892162) and "F" (high-#1892163).

SWAG ...

The '72 has a 032 horn, as well as does my '73. My untrained ear coupled with my weak horn, makes me believe the sound is a low note. Thus my guess would be a "D" note.

The NCRS Judging Manual probably lists the notes of the horns if you want to stay factory correct.
