The power antenna in my 1978 Corvette has quit working. In fact the aerial antenna part actually fell out of the car out the top hole.

Does anybody know the best way to gain access to the antenna motor.  Should I remove the spare tire and go in through the bottom?   Will I need to remove the muffler?   Or can I go in through the side, in the wheel well?   Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From underneath. You may need to loosen the muffler hangers and let the exhaust hang for more clearance, depending on what type of mufflers you have.

Thanks.    I will crawl under it when I get some time and see if I can lower the exhaust.
