I have seen reference to the AIM in several threads and it sounds like it would be usefull. What is it, and where can one be picked up.

Yeah, Ken...I pictured you as a very tall, lanky, leathery-lookin' dude with a cig hanging out the side of your mouth (LOL). That's alright, you don't wanna see me. Good seeing you.....

P.S. all kidding aside, we appreciate what you do for this site.

I'm better than when I was young. They tied a bone around my neck to get the dog to play with me.
When I hosted "Car Time" on Akron radio, I went into a dealer for a part for a car that was at my shop. (No longer have the shop) I had on black pants, black coat, and black ball cap. I'm 6 foot 215 lbs. At that time 250 lbs. A salesman stopped my on the way out and asked if that was for my car. I said no, it's for one at the shop. He asked what shop. I told him Auto Doctor at the circle. "Oh, you work for Ken Styer?" he asked. No, I am Ken Styer.
He hesitated and I said, I know you are thinking something, share with me.
He said "When you hear someone on the radio you conjure up a picture of what they look like. I always pictured you as a little skinny guy with a white lab coat!"
He missed that one!

looks like you're still doing that show but now it's on the internet. if you don't mind me asking, how long ago did you do your show and why'd you end it? did it reach as far as Cleveland?

I did it for 5 years on 1590 WAKR in Akron, ended about 1997. WAKR did sort of reach Cleveland, depending on where you where and what the radio gods felt like. It was Saturday at 5 to 6 pm, and the last 2 1/2 years I was on I was number 2 in my time slot. Ratings don't mean everything. When a big sports outfit wants to buy a 4 hour block, the money wins.
It was a lot of fun. I wish I was still doing the show.
As you can see, I have a great face for Radio!
