Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
I'm trying to remove the console trim piece (the big top piece). I took off the shifter knob and the 4 screws, the only thing hanging up is the vent knobs, do these pull off or what? Don't want to break anything.
Thanks,
Matt

The vent knobs are held on by allen screws that are in the back of the knob. If you pull the knob all the way forward and look at the back you will see the screw. It is very tiny.

the heater control knobs should remain with the heater control. That control must be worked down into the console after the top plate is removed. Once the console is removed you can get to the control assembly. Try gently shifting the console plate rearwards to dislodge the heater control from the plate

I think he is talking about the fresh air vent knobs. This is on a vette with no A/C. Big Fish, you probably do not have them on your 75.
