Thanks Adams for the tip. I think the switches are good so it must be the relay. Now if i can just find the relay.Tongue
The relay will be in one of two places. It's either in the passenger side storage box, under the tray, or it will be under the center console, by the shifter. I can't remember when they moved it, but it was around 75-6, I think...

The only alarm on my 71 that peeves me is the big red light on the dash that tells me to put my seat belt on.  It doesn't do anything to the car, you just have to remember to press the button or you have this big red light looking at you all day.  People I've had in the car have asked me what it is and I tell them once I press the button after they've belted up it locks them into the seat, being as the car is so fast.

Thanks for the info, I should be able to locate it.
I did see a unique theft devise though. Its about 4x4inches. it locks to the steering wheel with a key. Once you set it, any movement inside the car will set it off. A loud siren goes off and a bright light goes off right in your
eyes. the two together will drive you nuts. Its not something you can tolerate to long. What I want to know is,,,You guys Driving to Carson city
this year,,where you goin to stash your tool & parts Box????

Tools? Parts? Fer whut?
Ya don't think a bunch of 30 year old cars can make a leisurely drive across the country without a breakdown?

I always pack a bunch of crap, and never need it... Adams' Apple2007-02-02 20:43:18
