visor

The visor on the drivers side keeps creeping down, drives me crazy having to keep pushing it back up. I put a new plastic bushing in it but that may have helped a tiny bit but didn't fix it. Suggestions please

I had the same problem and CAREFULLY (covering everything) applied super glue at the rotating joint.  You cannot see it even if you are looking for it.  That said, aside from replacing the mechanism (you really need to order some of the catalogs, as well as a repair manual and start skimming through them if you are going to pursue this hobby) I saw a posting somewhere that recommended removing the visor shaft c-clip, pull out the visor shaft, and insert the tip of a rubber glove on the tip of the shaft and re-insert it.  They swore it worked well, I haven't had a chance to try it with my car still in storage for the winter.  Again, the Corvette supplier partners have long term solutions in their catalogs.

I had the same exact problem years ago - a friend of mine told me that all there is wrapping around the post within the visor is a piece of light grade sheet metal.  Get a pair of channel-locks and wrap the visor in a thick rag so as not to rip the vinyl - then just squeeze the crap out of it till it's tension is where you want.   let me know if it works!

try working a toothpick or one of those small plastic swords you get with mixed drinks in the space where the visor comes comes down then break off the excess so it doesn't show works  great. 

Ok thanks guys I have catalogs and put a new plastic bushing in there and that made it better but not good enough. Now I have an excuse to go have a couple drinks so I can get the plastic swords.

I took the visor off, the white plastic bushing will come apart in two pieces. I put a small piece of blue painters tape on the shaft then reapplied the bushing on the shaft and reinstalled the visor. The painters tape was just enough to keep the visor from slipping.
