Just started my 75 to take it out for a spin. Was letting it warm up a few minutes and then all of a sudden the car died. It is getting enough gas and the engine turns over like a race horse but it won't start. I am thinking elelctrical but not sure. Any suggestions for me as to where to start to trouble shoot this?
Thanks
Kevin

) GM HEI distributors are notorious for burning through the rotor, and cap. Look on the bottom of the rotor and see if it looks like there has been a rusty lightning storm. If so, replace the cap & rotor, reguardless of if that's the actual problem. Anything that makes it hard for the spark to get to the plugs is murder on the ign. module. If there's no spark @ plugs, it could be the module, the 'pole-piece', the coil, or it could be that the big red wire has come off of the dist. cap. I have seen many HEI modules go to the crapper while the car was running. Sometimes, they'll start again when they cool off, sometimes not. Do some checking and let us know.
