Upgrading/renewing the interior of a 75

I just started a project that I have been putting off for months. Installing heat barrier paper under the carpet and restoring the interior of my 75. I have been taking pictures as I go, showing the before, during and after. So far I have taken out the passenger side carpet. Cleaned the floorboard and glued the barrier. I am doing just the passenger side for now. "One step at a time". So far it's easier than I expected. I have seen other postings on this subject, on this and other forums. Along with this project I am also going to be doing some "re-dying" of interior parts. I replaced the old door panels last year and to make everything match, I purchased one quart of interior dye (paint) from Ecklers. Orginally I purchased the spray cans, but after paying 13 bucks apiece for the spray cans, I quickly decided to buy the quart and mix my own, (this also gave me a excuse to buy a air compressor, spray gun(s) and air regulator)
I am going to be taking out the console and putting the barrier under it also. Since my 75 did not come with rear speakers, I am going to be building some speaker boxes and running the wire before laying the carpet back down. Once you remove the seats (which only have 4 bolts per seat), you have a ton of room to work with. Because my 75 is 28 years old, some of the interior parts have gotten to the point of needing to be replaced. Since I planned this project months ago, I have already bought replacements so as I start putting everything back together, I will have the new parts ready to install. I will have a link to the progress as I go, if all goes well. Happy vetting and save the wave.

Can you tell me what kind of heat liner you are using and where to buy it . Also how much heat reduction will this give you.
Thank You

The insulation I ordered is called "Super Insulator", made by Tru-Max. I odered mine from Summit Racing. There are two types, both have a fire-retardant insulation, but part number: TRU-BLIP11406 has one aluminized outer layer, TRU-BLIP12406 has two aluminized outside layers.. Single layer is $23.95 and the double layer is $27.95. I also ordered the glue from Summit. It's called "Tru-Max's Sticky Stuff". The name speaks for itself. It is SUPER sticky and works great. I just returned from vacation and currently finishing up on some "honey-do's" and haven't have time to get back to my project. Since I had the carpets out to install the insulation, I did a super cleaning on them, but right now debating on just replacing the old carpet with new. I'll be giving some updates as they come.

Just about 99.8% finished with the interior of my '76. I have lots of pics if anyone is interested. Not show quality... but very clean and nice looking. The only thing not original vintage is the C4 seats. Good luck with your '75. If you need some pointers.... let me know.

Owen, I'd be interested in a set of your pics as I need to "get into" the interior of my '75 which is close to the '76 in layout.
You can send 'em to garris@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
Kenn
