This part I'm referring to is the sheetmetal "cup" on the under body. When I look at it from below, it appears that the seat bolt is coming through.

You could take a metal sheet or stanless plate and pop rivet it under the body ????? pre-drill the holes for you seats bolts.before putting the plate make sure to put under coating to prevent rust betwen the plate and the underbody.
