The weather is starting to get decent finally. Anyway before it gets nice I would like to remove and  put back the tops while it is in the garage. Kind of a dry run if you will. How do I go about it and any tips or tricks or do's and don'ts ?

There's no secret.  Just pop the latches and lift the tops off at a slight angle.  The time you really should be careful is reattaching the tops.  It's kind of easy to scratch the paint with the guide pins if you're not careful.

It's really an easy thing...just be careful and you'll never have a problem.

Pull the release lever, pick straight up on the outside of the top, pull top towards you a couple of inches, and then use both hands(one under the center of the top) and lift to remove fully. Re-install in reverse order....be sure to seat the two inner tabs into the slots on the center bar of the "T", lower top, flip release lever back to lock position. Easy-peasy. Thumbs Up

The tops will store in the rear area of the interior, and you should have a strap(s) to hold them down inside, along with two bags to put the tops in. If you do not have the bags or the strap, you can find them on fleabay sometimes, or you can get reproductions form most of our sponsoring vendors here. Wink

I thought this topic looked familiar...LOL

Yup, as Gunslinger mentioned.  When you go to reinstall them .....be sure the latch is "open" meaning the guide pin is retracted.  Most of us have lowered the hatch with the latch closed with the guide pin sticking out and "dinged" the edge of the targa bar.  Most learn after the first time!!!
