Hopefully will get an answer soon.
Thanks for all the help!
Will keep ya posted.

Tom, is there a Corvette repair shop in your area? Chances are, they'll have these screws, or can tell you where to find them. If all else fails, there are Corvette salvage yards. Adam posted some pics from one not too long ago...

Joel,
Thanks, I think there just may be!
Covette Connections in think in CT.
The screw I think is 1/4-28 Oval Head screw, which is chamfered.
an Oddball!
Have been on some Machine screw web sites also.. NADA!
The Corvete Salvage yard is next.

1/4-28 Oval head Philips are pretty non-existant.
Tried a Vette salvage yard, one guy could not be bothered by a small request like mine.
Tons of machine screw web sites, but not that funky 1/4-28-Oval head.
Was thinking, is it possible that they may NOT be that 1/4-28 size??
Just a thought!
There ARE 1/4-28 screws out there but can't find the Oval style (bevel)

They're the same size screws that are used to hold the rocker moldings on, except they're chrome. Iffin ya doesn't care about the color, perhaps you can get some for the rocker molding? Don't know why I didn't think of that sooner...

How about phillips flatheads? Ya can't see em anyway, they're hidden under the carpet.(I still think they might be 12-24s) These are the type of screws you usually find in the "specialty" drawers at the home improvement places.

edit... the rocker screws ARE 10-24.

Ya'll are thinkin so hard.... Plenty of screws like these sittin in yer local wrecking / salvage yard. I would ask about older Chevrolet autos 1st and span out from there. Just another twisted Tux... thought...
