I'm currently bidding on E-bay for a 1976 T-top bar for my 74. Does anyone out there have their 74 out, so that they can measure the bar for me ? My car is in deep storage ( covered, bagged, re-bagged and sealed) and I would have to actually take it out to take the measurement.
I want to make sure that the 76 will fit the 74, I've been burned before and I'm trying not to take any chances.
Thanks
Cookie

Hey, Larry...does yers have the stainless trim all the way across the back, side to side? When they "deleted" that piece is when they changed the front "t-bar" to compensate.

Cookie, I'll run out and measure mine....

The measurement from the front edge, by the windshield, to the rear edge, is 27 15/16". (total length of the piece, front to rear, in the center) Adams' Apple2007-03-06 20:57:25

No moldings across the back of Tux. Measures out at "27 5/8" (total length of the piece, front to rear, in the center). If Warbird goes to this piece does he need the polished trim pieces that the tops slide into or the center interior trim? I have never looked at other center bars to see the differences.     Tuxblacray2007-03-07 04:19:25

Joel,
I'm totally confused (easy to do) here are the measurements provided by the seller. It doesn't like it will fit. He also has some very nice trim which I decided (if they fit) to buy also
Here are the measurements provided:
Hey Cookie, the front edge I have two measurments because of the tapper 30 1/2"& 39 1/4" the Rear measurement acrossis 9" and fron to back over the rail is 27 5/8", I would call a Corvette Specialty shop because they should be the same fit to check.

The reason I know it will fit is not because of my knowledge. It just so  happened that I was in a friends shop last week and he was
switching one from a 76 body on a 74 that he is restoring.
