Does anyone have information on how to align the t-tops on a 74 Coupe? I just installed new weatherstripping on the window channels and t-tops and they don't align properly. I've checked the assembly manual, Haynes books, etc. but cannot find alot of information on alignment issues.

Thank you in advance! |headscratch|

I'm not sure what you mean by Align Properly, but I'll look at my AIM Thursday when I get home and let you know(shoot me an e-mail if i forget!). My latch doesn't stay hooked, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you're talking about..right?

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
I know what you mean. Since getting my windshield replaced my Tees are no longer straight across in back, they have been tweaked somehow. The mechanic who subbed out the replacement to the local auto glass company of course didn't know what I was talking about, and couldn't explain how they got tweaked.

Needless to say he's no longer getting my business. I have an AIM and looked into this as well but don't remember seeing anything regarding alignment, just the specs on clearances and such.

Sorry can't help, but I feel your frustration.

I just went through this problem when I put glass t-tops from a 79 on my 73. You need to loosen all the nuts that hold the
lock-down lever and center post tabs. Then you place the tops on the car and move them around until you get them where you want them. Then while they are in place, get in the car and tighten all the nuts carefully. You will also need to adjust the rubber headed bolts on the lock levers.
