So I understand the date code to translate to:
C09E = Sept 1982 5th week ( 28-29-30 ) Is this correct?
I think the 19L 19U is Black Lower and Black Upper Paint Code
What is the 124723? Anybody know?

Thanks,
Keith

Black(E = enamel)paint, camel leather interior, built 5th week of Sept, '82.
(btw..that's a dang good pic of the tag.
)
Is your VIN # 124723? The build date puts your VIN right there in that range, however, the final VIN count for Sept was 124433, and the total built for '82 was only 25408(actual built was 25,407, as one vin plate was lost) so....
I'm not sure what those numbers represent...

Hi Bob and Joel,
I checked my window sticker and the 24723 is the last five digits of the VIN. I should have checked that before I posted. Thanks for the info. So, that would mean that there were just under 700 C3 made after this one. That is cool!
