I have a 74 SB and my tach quite working. The conection at the dist. is nice and tight. How difficult is it to get to the back of the tach to check the connection?
Thanks

It is dirt simple . . . if you are no bigger than a six-year old kid.
At 6'2" I can reach it and see it at the same time, but it ain't easy. Definitely get out a flashlight.
But before you try the Spiderman routine, disconnect the tach cable from the distributor and spin the drive cable by hand to see if you are getting any action at the gauge. If the tach spins by hand, your problem is a shredded worm gear on either the distributor shaft, tach drive shaft or both.
Good luck.
