My 82 was working well until after a long nnight drive we left something on and the battery died, like 3 volts, I was finally able to jump it but it would not hold a charge. In the jumping process the tach pegged!!

Got a new battery and now it will not respond to anything.

Suggestions???

Sounds like a voltage spike took out the tach board.
On the "Tail of the Dragon"
(some day, no strike that, October 2008 it turned red, still in progress!)
