t top to convertable

Vette(s): this is my first vette, I went all out on this one,

I have an 80 t top and would like to convert it over to a convertable, is there any kits available ?? any info on this would be appreciated.

Robert...ont canada.

4.10 gears,550 hp, 700R4, with overdrive and 8" 3600 stall torque.

I've only seen one conversion. This guy actuall used a rear clip from a vert. Remember, the 'vert body is reinforced differently than a t-top car. That T bar actually stiffens the body.

thanks for the reply. I did not thind of that. the t top reinforces the body.  I say this guys vet, and he converted it to convertable .I did not think of the frame part of it . I quess that is not a good idea..

Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.

This would be so much work and probably would likely never be perfect.  It would probably be easier to buy a convertible project car and do major restoration work than to make a car something that it isn't.   Just my $.02.

I did see a picture of an '82 vert in a mag recently.
Only catch was, it had NO top
