Okay, now I'm getting angry!
I went to put down my passenger window this morning and the fuse for the horn/radio/interior lights blew again!
Someone please tell me why this keeps happening!!
The only other info I can offer, is that the window was all the way up, and thus was very snug, so when I went to put it down, it struggled to start going down. I'm guessing I'm putting too much load on the electrical system, but it's not the window fuse that blows! This makes no sense to me!
HELP!

speaking as an electrician, but not an automotive electrician, it sounds like your radio etc. fuse is just barely carrying the load, and when you open the window the voltage drops because of the load and the reduced voltage increases the amperage and blows the fuse. Was the engine running at the time?
When I open the windows on my 74 with the engine not running, it really bogs down everything. You might try taking some of the load off that fue, like putting the radio on a separate fuse.

Yeah, the engine was running... and I was probably moving 30mph down the road at the time.
I like the idea of putting the radio on a separate fuse, but I wouldn't even know how to begin to do that.

You are running an after market radio aren't you? Plus the satellite set up? I bet you are just borderline for the current the stock fuse will carry. Don't even think of puting in a larger fuse
old wires
may not handle the extra current. Look for an open spot in the fuse panel and wire the radio to it using the fuse supplied with the radio ( there is a supplied fuse isn't there ? ).
You may just want to go to a sterio installer and have them do it. Shouldn't cost more than a hours time.
See ya next week.

Yes, it is an aftermarket radio. No satellie radio.
I can understand that maybe the new radio is too much for the old 79 circuit, but what I don't understand is that the radio and windows are on separate curcuits! So why is one affecting the other?

Hmmmm, aren't the windows supposed to be on a breaker - not a fuse ? what year is yours? My 75 is on a breaker.
