Hi,
Before I break anything, does anyone know if the plastic light cover for a 1972 'Vette just pulls off? Once I get that off I want to pull the bulb out and try to go find a replacement.
Thanks,
Larry

The light on the rear panel, or the light in the center storage compartment?
The rear panel lens just pulls off, but it may be brittle from age, so be careful with that one.
Th storage compartment light bulb can be changed from the pass side compartment, if you remove the "box". The lens itself just squeezes together, if I remember correctly, to remove it, but my memory ain't what it never was...

Joel is right as usual...on my 72 just carefully squeeze the top and bottom of the lens and pull forward on it. Mine was kind of brownish yellow so I replaced it...$6.00 Ecklers.

All,
Removing the bin to get behind the light lens (where the jack is stored) was a great idea! However, I have discovered a new problem. The only thing behind the lens is the switch activated by the center console door. I would post a picture, but my pictures are on my C drive and the "upload image" looks like it wants them stored on a URL. No matter, just image nothing but a switch and the white lens below it. Since the wires to the switch go through the wall behind the seat, I can't even see where the light socket would be mounted to install a bulb. Can someone take a picture of their socket so I know what is missing?
Thanks,
Larry

My socket looks exatly like the picture (except mine is old and rusty). But, it looks like I should be able to push it up from the bottom and replace it. Thank you, the picture was a big help.
