steering column wire hanging loose

Ok I have a wire on the steering column that is not attached to anythin... its a male end and black, blue, brown wir connected to it, its right by the other wires along the column under the dash but do not see anywhere it could be plugged into or connected. an option I do not have on the car???but its from the steering column  where alll other wires are on the steering column?
