I just had my windshield replaced and removed the trim & molding myself and will be reinstalling all my self also. I have stripped the paint from all molding and will be lightly sanding the finish before painting with Trim Black. (82's have the trim painted)
Anyway, I also have the stainless steel t-top center cover off and want to clean up the water spots, stains, scratches etc. What is the bet way to go about this? Wet sanding, polishing??

Thanks!
Thumbs Up

A stainless steel polish that normally is used to polish wheels should work well if the scratches are not bad and it should remove water spots. Mothers makes some good stuff or try Never Dull in the can (cotton swab stuff).

I used Mothers metal polish (paste) worked real well.

I cleaned and polished mine last year.  I removed the SS trim and wet sanded it to remove some rather deep scratches and then used a buffing wheel and polishing rouge to get the final shine.  looked good when I finished.  I found the polish alone would not remove the deeper scratches.
