Hello All - Any advice on opening spare tire compartment on a 73? Key won't turn all the way. Tried WD-40. Still nothing. Any other way to get this thing opened? Would love to know if there is a spare in there.

Feel the tire in the spare compartment? It seems solid to the touch, not much give if I press of the compartment.

IF there was no tire/rim in there, you would be able to push the tub up and unlatch it. Keep soaking the lock down....if the key will turn part of the way, it will eventually free up....assuming it is the right key to start with.
