At the trailing edge of the side windows on my 77,there is a 12" vertical pc. of weatherstiping attached to the body. There are 2-3 holes that look as though this weatherstrip was screwed or riviede on.Can someone tell me what is the correct way to attach? Glue? screw?

It may have screws and adhesive. AIM will show the installation.

At least some of them were riveted on. A local restorer squeezes the rivets to make them narrow enough to pull the old stuff off, then files enough to fit the new one over (it has a slot), and glues it on. He uses masking tape to keep it tight until the glue dries.

I did mine a few years back. The old ones were dried out and came of easily. Mine had one rivet in each side. I used my Dremel tool to grind the old rivets out. I simply glued the new strips in place with 3M weatherstrip adhesive. I held them in place with masking tape.
