When I bought my '73 vette it came with no side mirrors or hole to install side mirrors. It looks like it has put bondo or fiberglass over the holes to cover them. Is there anything special I need to do to drill new holes for my side mirrors? Any help or comments would be appreciated.

try looking in your AIM for diagram to see if the hole are horizontally or vertically lined up. you might find a diagram in Ecklers catalog too that would show the alignment. I'd want it in the right spot it was originally.

Hi Reggie, I bought a new passenger side mirror for my 76 from Corvette Central http://www.corvettecentral.com/flashmenu.htm and it came with a template and mounting kit so the installation was a snap! It took 20 min. from the time I opened the box to the time a threw the box away and I was done. All eccept for the extra 3 or 4 min. to adjust the mirror. LOL
I still have the template if you would like I can scan it into my computer and send you an email with an attachment so you can print out the template. I will include the measurements with it if you like.
This is all depending on if you have the mounting gromits and the screws and other hardware.
Let me know!

If you don't mind. I could really use the diagram and the measurements. Thanks in advance.

Reggie, I will get the template scanned and the measurements together tomorrow afternoon and then email them to you in an attachment. Then you can print them out and use them. Just send me your email address.

Vince, could I get a copy of that? There are no mirror holes on my 75. (Of course there is no paint at this time either.)

O.K. I did send out a couple of the scan images and the measurements I will go in and get the sent email that I posted and send them out to you guys as well. I had to reduce the image size in order to get the files small enough to post out. So, when you print out the template you will have to follow the measurements to enlarget them to actual size for use.
Cheers!
