Vette(s): 1982CE,32,000 and counting. (fast!!) 1981 Vette, black on black. ZZ4 (quick!!)

I'm thinking of doing this on my 82CE but would like to see some picks of your Vette.Where did you have it done,cost,results,I'm thinking with the color of the 82CE's that I might want a lighter tint.Like maybe a light gold tint if they make it.

The past owner did it on mine but I like it alot. Took some getting used to though, driving at night. hard to see any thing behind you except headlights.

I have a '79 & bought a form-fitting Lexan tinted insert from I think Mid-America.You can remove it whenever you want, if needed.Not a super dark tint,but it stops UV deterioration of your interior, which had started bleaching out my black carpeting from the previous ownership.I think the insert cost less than a nice tinting would have. It is "on sale",so they say...I dont recall what I paid .I just thought it would cost more to have it professionally tinted (at 6'3'' I'm too large to get back there myself to do it),then if you changed your mind it would suck to peel it off again.Also,in my state they only allow a 35% tint,so if I wanted to go darker,I could just pop in the Lexan over it.My main concern was to stop the fading & wear on my leather seats, -2nd was heat control with tops on,etc. C3RVETTE38499.918125

I agree with Tumarr. Mine is tinted very dark. Hard to see in my sig pic. But it looks good with the black glass t-tops and black trim.
