I am having work done on the interior. I have replaced the seats and cushions, but the seat shells are faded. They also have the vinyl pitted where the seat belt buckle rubs against them.

If you are trying to make a show car, do you sand these areas down, or do you paint the seat shells, or do nothing?

I am not against painting, but I don't like altering original parts.

Hello !
you don't pain but you could use a can of spray dye and if you have part that is to scrach put a litle bit of primer just to cover the area. ( dye aerosol 16 oz $17 )
need more info just ask |thumb| no sanding or very very light
