Does anyone know where I can find some fairly inexpensive seat covers that will fit over the seats on my '82? I've tried some that I got at Pep Boys but they don't fit right, and I can't find any vinyl/leather ones anywhere

I bought mine from Ecklers 8 years ago. Try Mid America first, they support this great site and I don't know if Eckler's does. The covers wash/wear great! They're the heavy cloth, grey, still say Corvette in black lettering on the top part, with a pocket on each on the back of the seat which is great to keep show flyers in. They only had grey and tan then, but I'm sure they have more colors now. I don't know for sure, get yourself on all the catalog mailing lists then you can price compare. Just wash in mild soap, barely warm water, hang to dry. They're hard to put on sometimes, but they catch all kinds of stuff. Really saves the leather! Don't go inexpensive, I already tried those too, didn't work out good. Good luck!
