The seat belt/ignition key buzzer in my '77 starts buzzing periodically when the car is
setting with no key in the ignition. When I tap the buzzer it quits. Can this buzzer be
disconnected without effecting the cars starting, etc. or should I replace it?

You should be able to unplug the buzzer with no side effects...other than possibly locking yer keys in the car....
