hey folks- was curious- i was thinking of upgrading the sealed beam head lights in my 79 to modern style halogen and have seen kits out there to do it. has anyone tried this, and if so how hard was it to do and much would it cost me to do all four headlights?

Hi,
I switched to H4 lamps (http://www.prostreetlighting.com)to replace the seal beams. The lamps was intended for outer use only (high/low beam) and not for the inner (high). I Modified the inner set guides on the lamp to fit the receiver (easy work usinng pliers). The inner set will only use the high beam from the H4 bulbs. I did the conversion for use in Norway where seal beam is not allowed.
