Sanding the body

I just got done with all that stuff. I mean Lots of work stuff. LOL   

After the soda blast you shouldn't have a lot of anything to do but, prep work for paint. My paint and body man had us use 80 on a DA sander with a light touch. This makes the surface a bit more even and gives a light roughness that you may not even feel when you rub your hand over it. But, the surface needs it to allow the sealer to stick. That is just the first step.
Next depends on if you are going to paint the car or not. Or if you plan on doing the rest of the prep work yourself.
Let me know if you are doing the rest yourself and I can tell you what steps I went through.
By the way, my car was painted and cleared today. I'll be going over tomorrow to inspect.

Dave there is a LOT of prep work to do. Have you had the soda blast done yet ? Depending on what the surface is like when you get it back will determine what is next. You'll know if there have been any repairs made to the fiberglass when all that paint is off.
When I bought my car I had right front fender and nose damage to deal with from the P.O. when he hit the garage last time he drove it home. The family told me that there was no other problems they new of. When I got the severial layers of paint off I found two other places, one large and one small, that had been repaired.
Yes, and poorly I might add. So, they had to be taken care of before going on to anythin else.
I would say I had 40 hours more in the prep work than I had planned to get it to paint.
