Vette(s): 1976 restored,new interior,custom paint(purple),body kit,rebuilt engine,trans,upgraded sound system

Last weekend I gutted the interior, removing the seats, console and

carpeting, to insulate the car to help with the heat problem, and discovered parts of my floor pan rusted out. I now know where the heat was coming from. Has anyone else dealt with repairing or replacing the floor pan. I found in corvette centrals catalog replacement floor pans. how big of a job is this,or would i be better off getting someone else to do it

I would highly recommend letting a 'Vette shop do this job. A regular body shop could do it, but they wouldn't take as much care in it as a 'Vette shop would. I know I wouldn't do this job myself. It really is a big pain, and you don't want to screw this one up! You'll wind up lookin' like Fred Flintstone!
