Retractable Rear Storage Compartment Shade

I have an 1982 Collector Edition. I am looking for removal, repair and reinstallation information regarding the retractable rear storage compartment shade. My shade does not retract when you pull it out to conceal the rear storage area. I suspect it is a spring problem. I have one GM manual but it does not illustrate the shade assembly very well in my opinion. Any information would be appreciated.
