Can anyone offer input on swapping out a window regulator on an ’82? I have already purchased the new regulator, but.... I have read the procedure in the service manual (and they certainly weren't that good back then), as well as read a magazine article that "sort of" covered it (it glossed over a lot of the details). I'm a pretty competent mechanic, and have certainly done my share of window regulators over the years, but this one just looks "different" to do. In particular, the glass readjustment looks pretty nightmarish! There's also a rivet you have to deal with, and the rivet itself looks kind of intimidating (real thick and heavy). It almost looks like this might be one of those jobs that may be best left to someone who's already done it a few times. Am I right? If so, as much as I like to do all of my own work, might I be better off just paying a Corvette specialty shop to take this one? (Especially since I want it done "real right?") Thanks in advance!

If you have mucho patience, and even more time to give, you could probably handle this yourself. If not....
