I was looking around for a set of replacement headliners when I noticed that some of them are attached to the t-top with 4 screws. My headliners were attached via the velcro-like pads. What gives? Does anyone know if I can use those screw in headliners with my t-tops without manipulating a new screw mount in the t-tops I have? Did some 81's have one type of t-top and some another? Car is not with me right now, otherwise i'd look.
Thanks,

Dave, There are 8 velcro like mounts, all of which have a screw up through the center. I'm not speaking from experience, but I've been looking at a set of those myself for the wifes car because they are less expensive than the originals by far. I'm assuming they must use 4 of the 8 velcro mount posts to anchor their offering
. They, are even more than I can afford so I'm sure I'll end up going that way also when funds allow. Used ones in descent condition are scarce. Let us know what you find if you do this before anyone else. Thanks.

Will do Ace. I get the car back tomorrow from my mechanic. How do some of you guys do it? Some of you have your cars out for months. He's had my car for about 3 weeks and it's killing me not having it around. I'll check out the possible screw holes for adaptability. I just picked up a pr of mirrored t-tops locally for $1.
Waiting for that to sink in...They are cracked, one is trash the other has a couple of "common" cracks. I figure that if I ever decide to switch to glass tops I can use them as cores or sell them to someone who needs cores.

Amazing ! I just saw a pair of glass T-tops on Craigs list for $200. They had scratches and needed weatherstripping. Don't think I wasn't tempted, but I didn't have the funds or your insight. My best bud (OSSW1) is local and would have been happy with the find, but I just wasn't thinking, and let them get away
, ugh.

Dave, I have a 1978 so not sure if any help but I purchased the new t-tops with four screws and they worked fine with my original t-tops as far as alignment no problem, no new holes drilled. good luck! BB78
