Anyone know what size speakers are in the dash of a 76,I'm looking to repace them, they sound terrible, left one has distortion. When i bought the car, they were disconnected and the previous owner had infinity speakers in custom kick panel enclosure but it took up too muck leg room
I took them out and reconnected the dash speakers, but as I said they
sound terrible

I too have been looking to replace my dash speakers. They seem to have come stock @ 4x6, but I have seen 6x9 in there with some customization.

My question is, where are the rear speakers? I can't seem to find them. Were they an option originally, or did they come standard? Maybe I can't find them because they aren't there.Wacko

I got these for my dash. I haven't got them in - I've been slowly acquiring parts for an interior redo this fall.

Corvettes through '82 used 10 ohm speakers.  Aftermarket radios and speakers are all 4 ohm.  So be sure you get all compatible parts.  We have a local shop that reproduces the correct 10 ohm speakers.

Tony,
I used 4x6 Infinity Kappa's in the dash, and in the kick panels. They're very shallow and fit perfectly.
I also used their 6x9's in the rear. The system sounds great !
