OK ...... I used my window crank removal tool with success to remove the window crank but how do you remove the door lock. Is ther a special tool required to remove the snap ring? The standard tool is to big.

There is a special tool to remove the snap ring. If you look at any vette catalog under the door lock section, you'll see a door lock removal tool that is needed to get the ring off.

I have a bent screwdriver that I use for all these clips. I bent a bigger one to do door hinge springs. JOe
